Stage 4 — Agentic Finance Operations

Finance at Scale.
Without Headcount Growth.

Agentic AI executes defined financial processes autonomously — completing tasks, anticipating needs, and routing exceptions to the right human authority — under the governance architecture established in Stages 1 to 3. This is not automation. This is finance operations redesigned for a business that does not stop.

What Agentic Means in Practice

The Difference Between Automation and Agentic AI

Automation executes a defined step. An agent executes a defined workflow — adapting to exceptions, routing decisions, and completing multi-step processes without manual handoffs.

At Stage 4, AI Agents work proactively across finance, compliance, and operations — drawing on trusted data to complete tasks, anticipate needs, and keep key processes running in the background. Exceptions are routed to the right human authority, not queued for the next available person.

Sage and PwC's "Beyond the Black Box" initiative (April 2026) defines the governance standard for agentic finance — combining transparent, explainable AI with real-world expertise.

Stage 4 in Practice

How Mysoft Deploys Stage 4

1

Agentic Design Workshop

A Mysoft-facilitated session mapping agentic workflow candidates across the finance function. Each candidate assessed against the Stage 4 entry conditions and governance requirements before activation.

2

Wave Deployment

Phased activation of agentic workflows with validation at each wave. No new agentic workflow is activated without governance sign-off and audit trail verification. MD sign-off required before Stage 4 scope is activated (per Governance Framework).

3

Annual Governance Review

Full framework audit conducted annually. QAOR operates on a six-monthly cycle at Stage 4. Every agentic action is reviewed against exception thresholds, and new Sage AI capabilities are assessed for Stage 4 deployment eligibility.

4

Oversight Model

Every agentic action generates a complete audit trail. Tier 4 authority (CFO/FD) governs exception escalation. The Board AI Governance Report is updated at each Annual Governance Review.

Entry Conditions

Stage 4 Is Not for Everyone — Yet

Stage 4 entry requires demonstrated governance maturity across Stages 1, 2, and 3. The AI Readiness Assessment score and governance framework audit determine readiness.

1
AI Readiness Assessment score of 30–39, or demonstrated Stage 3 governance maturity (override condition applies)
2
All four governance layers active and validated — Process Governance, Authority and Approval, Audit Trail, QAOR
3
QAOR established and completed at least once, with documented exception calibration outcomes
4
MD sign-off required before Stage 4 scope is activated (per Mysoft Governance Framework)
